Becoming A Shaman

 

How do people become Shamans? 

 I have been asked this question a few times, and I can not truly think of an answer for this. I can only tell you my story, my initiation. I did not have a “grand” teacher step in and show me, I did not have a miraculous visitation from the other side.I did not have the title bestowed upon me from a council of elders or seers. I was given the title by those who came to me. I shun from being called “shaman”, I shun from being called a Reiki Master. I am what I am because of what I do, and where I work the most. And it tends to be where other people would be afraid to go.
